This year AERG – Association of Student Survivors of the Genocide – was awarded by the Imbuto Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and ICT (MYICT) for its dedication to the empowerment of youth in Rwanda. Named as the organisation that have provided service to improve the quality of life of youth in the community AERG was recognised for inspiring and motivating Enterprises, Institutions, and helping young Individuals to achieve their self- reliance.
Since 2007, Imbuto Foundation has been awarding Rwandan youth with exceptional talents and accomplishments through its bi-annual “Celebrating Young Rwandan Achiever Awards” (CYRWA). At the ceremony, which took place on Friday December 11th, the First Lady and chairwoman of the foundation, Jeannette Kagame, urged Young Rwandans to sustain the achieved development and strive to achieve more; “Rwandan youths, you have the power and opportunity to sustain the achieved development levels and take it to another level. I challenge you to stand for excellence in all your endeavors,”
