The European Training Seminar for the Fight Against Fake News and Hate Speech Online took place in Berlin, Germany, from March 1st to 4th 2018. The event was held by the European Grassroots Antiracist Movement (EGAM) in collaboration with Amadeu Antonio Stiftung (AAS). During this event, EGAM partners gathered to discuss the state of affairs of online hate speech and fake news in Europe and the event included the training of participants in recognising Hate Speech, monitoring and reporting it. The actions proposed by civil society organisations in order to effectively fight hate speech and fake news were also discussed, namely, the launch of the European Observatory Illegal Hate Speech Online and Fake News as well as the preparation of the first European monitoring campaign on hate speech online.

Today is Srebrenica Memorial Day. We honour the 8,372 men and boys murdered in the genocide 24 years ago, their Mothers and survivors.
Approximately 30,000 people will attend the collective funeral for 33 recently identified remains at the Srebrenica–Potočari Memorial Cemetery.
