The “Elie Wiesel Network of Parliamentarians of Europe involved to prevent genocide and mass atrocities and to fight against genocide denial” was created by EGAM in 2016 as a response to the list of mass atrocities that continue to be perpetrated, the rise in genocide denial across our continent and a lack of a structured approach regarding their prevention.
The Elie Wiesel network tends to document mass atrocities by undertaking international fact-finding mission, raise awareness about the ongoing conflicts, and to forge political pressure on both European and national level in order to prevent human rights violations around the world.
International Fact-Finding Mission
The first mission lead by the Elie Wiesel Network in collaboration with EGAM was an International Fact-Finding Mission to South-East Turkey in October 2016. You can read the full report here.
